Each year various organizations and businesses offer scholarships, awards and bursaries to post-secondary students. We will make it our commitment to help you find and apply for these opportunities. Notifications of scholarships and awards will be made via the ALL-Student email distribution listing. If you have any questions please contact the Financial Aid Office.
In some cases the awards are facilitated by the Acadia Financial Aid office and require a nomination from Acadia.
The list below is just a few of the opportunities. Please check our bulletin board (across from the Registrar's office) for other External Scholarship opportunties.

The Commonwealth Scholarship Plan (CSP) offers opportunities to study in several Commonwealth countries. The CSP owes its start to Canadians. Professor George Curtis came up with the idea, persuaded the Hon. Sidney Smith, Minister of External Affairs, to support it, and guided it to implementation as Chair of the Scholarship Committee at two conferences of Commonwealth Education Ministers in 1958-59.
The Foreign Government Awards allow Canadians to study in 12 countries as follows: Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, The Netherlands, The Philippines, Russia and Spain.
The Organization of American States Scholarships offer graduate study opportunities for Canadians, chiefly in the Spanish-speaking countries of Central and South America and in Brazil where Portuguese is the official language.
